I read the Sociopath Duet but I was severely lost through most of this book because I couldn't remember the details of it and the author did a terrible job of filling it in. The jumping back in time randomly for both characters made the story hard to follow, and the extreme number of named secondary characters was overwhelming. And then, the editing. Well, this author needs a new editor.

The plot was decent enough - abused kid gets taken in by Bratva boss, rises through the ranks, finds the woman of his dreams and can't seem to hold onto her. Her story was not fully explained - she got taken and abused - but what happened when she was with Eric was never fully revealed. The ending cliffie - since this was a duet you know there is a second book - was kind of stupid. Onto book 2 - we'll see if the author can pull this out.

A definite page turner, the turmoil and struggles of a man damaged by his past driven by his obsession for one woman will keep you reading until your eyes cross. Two great mafia houses play in this adventure romance. Really worth the read.
Amazing! Absolutely brilliant writing! Dominic & his Rosa, such a beautiful love story. I will not elaborate, in fear of leaking any spoilers. I will say this is a great read, trust me u will not be disappointed!
I am sorry, I have never gave a low rating but I just could not stay with this book. I finally had to just out it down.
This book was about the torched body and souls of young boys and girls in the had of depraved men who didn't have anything on their minds but their own needs. This book has had me on my seat and I couldn't put it down! I'll need to catch the next book...
I write this after only reading this book and the second. The story is great. Well written scenes. But I really got confused with it skipping around in time. I love the characters and omg the ending shocked me but I was soon soothed as I dove into book two.
So believe it or not I might go back and re read this. I will try and concentrate better on timeline.
Three stars because of the horrible cliffhanger, and how easily Dominic got over his ability to share intimacy with Rose. Also because despite being a Russian mob boss, Damien was far darker and far scarier. I know this story was not about Damien, but it's hard not to compare the two. It was interesting learning how Dom survived, escaped, and built his new life. Good read.
I love the storyline as we'll as the writing. There were brief repeated pages from the Sociopath which I'm not a huge fan of as I hate to re-read but I understood the necessity here. The writing flows effortlessly from past to present and from person to person. It allows you to get more depth into the characters history and background which really enriches the story. I loved Sociopath but I'm a mob lover so I enjoyed this even more as it goes deeper into the Bratva and Cosa Nostra life. Great ending can't wait to see read the next one!
