One can even live vicariously through the eyes of the main character Kitty Gentry. This is a great book and I have already read it twice.-Buy and enjoy!

Sorry to say I did not care for the book
This book was in very readable condition. Arrived fast and well packaged.

Ordered it for my Mother, read it and had to order another for myself.
I received the book "next day" and it was in the condition I thought it would be for a "gently used book". I also enjoyed reading the book. First "book" I have read in a long time. Different than reading on the , but good for a change.
I read this book years ago and decided to find it, re-read it and will then read some the author's other books. While there is romance in this book, I wouldn't classify it as a "bodice ripper", but an adventure, historical novel.
Purchased for my Mother. History of Western Kentucky and she knew some of the people mentioned in the book.
Excellent piece of historical writing. Historical events were very accurate. Some sexual content so might not be suitable for younger readers. All in all a great read for lovers of historical fiction.
This out of print book brings a woman's perspective to the settlement of Kentucky at Boonesborough. It's well written, historically accurate, and makes you feel like you're there. You can't ask for more from historical fiction!
